Founder Ashleigh Hopkins began with a passion project, eager to break down the myths and misconceptions of self-sufficient and sustainable living and help others achieve Independence and Freedom in their lives.

"Years ago I was watching the flood of videos on YouTube and other platforms of people that were boldly dropping everything and buying land and starting to buildup a homestead-type lifestyle for themselves and their families from scratch. I had just decided to hang up my suit and stop climbing the corporate ladder, and I remember thinking that there is no way that other common households like mine that had double income households and modern busy lives would be able to embark on this kind of journey. And it made me sad to know that so many people that were interested in living more self-sufficient and sustainable lives were limited by their circumstances. Growing up off-grid myself, I had decided I would develop properties specifically around the interests of those families that needed a turn-key real estate option for a self-sufficient living.. on or off-grid. I had no idea that it would grow into what it has today. I am constantly inspired by our clients and their stories and I am really honored that I get to be a small part of their journey."
